Chapter 6 and 7

In the beginning of chapter 6, it starts out with Wes teaching Macy how to do a "gotcha" to scare Bert. As they were together in the closet preparing to scare Gus Macy describes how she feels about Wes, there is a connection between the two of them even though she still has ties with Jason. After catering, when Macy goes home and finds her dad's old truck I believe it symbolizes all that she has overcome and accomplished since her dad has passed.

This is how I imagine Macy's dad's pickup truck sitting in her driveway looking.

The way that Caroline keeps comparing her social life in high school to Macy's really angered me and also upset Macy's mom. Although I don't think this really upset Macy I do think it made her think about her social life and lack there of. As Caroline was persuading Macy and her mom to fix up the old beach house I think it started to excite them, the more they thought about it.

In chapter 7, what happened to Kristy is revealed, how she got her scars. We find out that she was in a car accident and is actually pretty confident with herself even with the scars. Kristy also helped Macy find an outfit that was suitable for "going out" and although Macy didn't like the idea at first, after she tried it on she actually liked it. Kristy had her doubts about going out with her new friends but in the end she decided to let go and just do it. When she got to the party she sat with Wes and they started talking about her running, and her feelings about it. How fast she was and why she stopped.
