In this chapter, Macy starts to realize that her Mom is not herself, not that she has been since her husband has died but even less herself now, than the past few months. She realizes that she is very stressed, tired looking, and that she is not eating. Although Macy and Caroline both question their mom about it, she denies that anything is wrong with her.
During this chapter, Macy also steps outside of her confront zone and goes to a party with Wes, Kristy, and Monica. Although Kristy and Monica want her to "party" she actually sits aside with Wes and they discuss Jason and Becky and how they are both on "breaks" from there relationships. Like I have said before, Macy and Wes have so many similarities and they can relate in so many ways, they get each other.
I also realized that Macy let go all of the stress she had while working at the info desk. She actually went out to lunch with Kristy and Monica and although her co-workers weren't all that happy she did get to have a little break from work.
