After completing this book, I really want to just thank the author. I learned so much from this book about life. I learned that forever is happening now, even though we don't know how long it will last. I learned to keep working through life because it will get better and things will change.
Theme: Sometimes in life you have to just keep going to see how things work out because happiness takes time.

Chapter 19-22
Chapter 19
Delia agreed to do the catering for the gala even though it was very last minute. Caroline came back even though she had stayed away for a week because she was still upset with her mom, she came back to look at Wes's art sculptures. Essentially, after this Caroline and her mom made up and Caroline decided to stay the night to help out with the gala the following day. In this chapter, the main thing I liked was that awes came back! Macy and awes discussed everything that happened and they made up. But then, things regarding the gala started to go south; the tent was shredded, it started to thunder, and then it started to rain.
But let me back up a little, something big happens to Macy in this chapter, she decides to open the bag that was the other half of her present from her dad. And to be quite honest I am a little confused to what exactly it is. She describes it as a sculpture, a sign that she had finally found and then when it started to rain, she said her mom had found her sign too. So I hope as I finish this book up I discover what exactly she means...
She said it was her "heart in hand".
Chapter 20
Once again Sarah Dessen managed to make this chapter another intense nail biter. Macy finds out that Wes really does want to be with her and that night she saw him with his (ex) girlfriend he was actually breaking up with her. When she found this out she realizes she had made a mistake by telling him she was happy with how her life was right now.
Chapter 21
In this chapter, Jason comes back and wants to talk with Macy about their relationship but Macy knows she wants to be with Wes and he wants to be with her. During this whole conversation, I think that Macy wasn't really there, she was thinking about Wes. So when Wes walls in to the party, she goes and kisses him! This is like the point in the movie where the music plays because it has reached the resolution, the guy gets the girl and everything is ok! I honestly would've been okay with this being the end of the book, but I was glad when I realized there was one more just to wrap things up.
Chapter 22 (conclusion)
Macy and her family finally made it down to the beach house.
Macy is running again, and now on the beach, with Wes.
They visit every weekend and Macys mom is learning to take a break from work.
Caroline is still designing the beach house.
Macy is HAPPY.

Chapter 16-18
Chapter 16
So this chapter is very eventful, emotional, and even a little chaotic. This is the chapter where Delia has her baby, which to me flagged a big problem for Macy because it meant that she may not be able to meet her mom on time, and I was right. The delivery of Delia's baby was very emotional to Macy because it was at the hospital where her father died, and she kept thinking about it. But during this time instead of being happy for Delia and trying to comfort her she was busy trying to call her mom to say she would be late but she couldn't get a hold of her. So when she went back to the commons to meet her mother, she was very nervous to confront her because she knew what was in store; yelling and disappointment. When Macy got home and was waiting to get home to discuss what she had done Caroline was trying to give her pointers on how to take the yelling and the punishment. Her mom was extremely disappointed in her and told her she could not caiter anymore and would be working at the model home Monday-Saturday 9-5.
Chapter 17
This chapter started as if there was a week or two gone by since the last chapter. I love when authors do that because it saves so much time in a book, that way a reader isn't sitting through pointless information that isn't really needed. It started with her and her mother at the dinner table after a couple of weeks of her punishment had gone by. I could tell by reading the small talk between her and her mother that Macy was unhappy and that she missed her friends. Macy also recieved another letter from Jason, explaining how he wanted to stay friends, even though she thought that the two of them were done. After reading the letter, she went out (against her mothers orders) to see her friends and she realized that a lot had changed.
-Bert had a date with a girl he met at the Armageddon social.
-Wes got back together with his girlfriend
-Delia was Staying at home with her baby, Avery
Chapter 18
In this chapter, Macy was really concerned with her mother and her health but her mom denied that anything was wrong. Caroline came back and said that the Beachhouse was done and that it would be ready by next weekend, but Macy's mom act surprised. When Caroline reminded her Mom that the trip to the beach was the following weekend she denied that she ever agreed to it which really upset Caroline.
Caroline left their house upset and Macy's mom continued to plan for the gala the following weekend when the caterer cancelled. Surprisingly she asked for Delia's number because all the other catering businesses were booked so she had no other options.

Chapters 14 and 15
Chapter 14
This chapter started out with Macy waking up and explaining how she was in a bad mood because of all the nightmares she had the previous night, about her dad. Reading this really made me think about dreams and I wanted to find out more about dreams and there meanings so I decided to do some research. As I was researching so came across a couple websites I wanted to share that I found really informative.
http://www.dreams.ca
http://mentalfloss.com/article/55442/12-common-dreams-and-what-they-supposedly-mean
http://psychology.about.com/od/statesofconsciousness/p/dream-interpret.htm
I wonder what brought Macy to dream about her dad..? Was it the fact that Caroline was remodeling the beach house, where she shared so many memories with her dad? Or was it that she had been talking with Wes about her dad?
It really bothers me that Macy's mom doesn't like her new friends. Yes, Macy has changed but isn't it good that she is finally trying to move on and have fun? She says she doesn't like Wes because he has been arrested but, personally I think Wes is the best thing that has happened to Macy in a long time. I don't know, I guess I just assumed that her mom would like her friends and be happy for her but, unfortunately that's not the case.
Macy's mom doesn't like her friends so she says that she doesn't want her to hang out with them anymore and that she needs to stay committed to working at the info desk. So, Macy starts out by obeying her Moms wishes but the next day at the info desk, Wes comes and asks for her help o she decides to quit the info desk and go help. At this part in the book, I wanted to scream "Yes!", "Go Macy!" Finally, Macy has stood up for herself and done something to make her happy.
Chapter 15
Wow, this chapter was definitely odd. This chapter basically consisted of a catering job but the odd thing was that nothing went wrong. In the past, most of the time every catering job Wish does is very chaotic and something is always forgotten but not this time, until the end. At the end of this chapter I found out that Delia is going to have her baby so of course I want to keep reading!

Chapter 11-13
Chapter 11
At the beginning of this chapter, Macy is with her friends as they are getting ready to go to another party but she doesn't want to go. Then, Macy, Monica, and Kristy are talking about Wes. Kristy and Monica are convinced that there is a connection between the two of them but Macy denies it, even though I think she knows there actually is a connection. Then Kristy related Macy and Wes to a romance novel called, "Forbidden". I don't know what it was but right after air was that section of the book I immediately thought of the song "Love Story", by Taylor Swift.
Then as I continued reading, I wasn't surprised at all when Macy ran into Wes; through a "gotcha." As they started talking Wes convinced Macy to let him take her to his favorite place, "the World of Waffles." This made me think of "The Waffle House", which is where I'm pretty sure the author got the idea from.
Chapter 12
The game truth, is the main way that Macy and Wes have learned so much about each other, well really it's the only reason they know anything about each other. Especially in this chapter, Macy reveals so much about Wes and even Bert because it was the first time she had been to their house. She also realized what great care Wes takes of Bert, not only is he a great brother to Bert but also a father figure.
Chapter 13
In chapter 13, we are back to Caroline telling Macy and there mom about remodeling the beach house and how all her plans are coming along. It's also back to another catering event, a fifteenth birthday party. After the event, Bert was in a major hurry to get back to watch his Armageddon special, but knowing he would never make it in time Macy invited the whole gang over to her house so that he could watch it there. They were all having a great time exploring Macy's house with so many amenities that they all loved until Macy's mom came home and was not happy. I have a feeling thatMacy's mom does not like her new friends.
Chapter 10
In this chapter, Macy starts to realize that her Mom is not herself, not that she has been since her husband has died but even less herself now, than the past few months. She realizes that she is very stressed, tired looking, and that she is not eating. Although Macy and Caroline both question their mom about it, she denies that anything is wrong with her.
During this chapter, Macy also steps outside of her confront zone and goes to a party with Wes, Kristy, and Monica. Although Kristy and Monica want her to "party" she actually sits aside with Wes and they discuss Jason and Becky and how they are both on "breaks" from there relationships. Like I have said before, Macy and Wes have so many similarities and they can relate in so many ways, they get each other.
I also realized that Macy let go all of the stress she had while working at the info desk. She actually went out to lunch with Kristy and Monica and although her co-workers weren't all that happy she did get to have a little break from work.

Chapter 9
This venue that Macy and Wes are at preparing shrimp makes me think of some type of gala with people dressed up and waiters walking around with trays of food on them which is what I envision they are at.
Wes and Macy seem like they have gotten to be really close to each other, every time they are together they really open up to each other, Macy about her Dad and Wes about his Mom. It's if they are beginning to form more of a brother/sister relationship then a girlfriend/boyfriend relationship.
I can very easily imagine this book, especially this chapter being in a movie. The whole chaotic scene of a bunch of kids trying to caiter an event with a bunch of dressed up adults would make a great movie scene.
